Biography

Dr Sharlene Smith, Smartrak’s Innovation Manager, is spearheading the company’s EV Enablement initiatives. With a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a successful track record as an ideation facilitator, she has the expertise to guide customers through the transition to EVs.

Sharlene has diverse experience, having worked in both Local Government and private enterprise. At Hamilton City Council, she managed special projects that saw direct collaboration with the community and local iwi advisors. As a Business Manager at Fonterra Co-Operative Group Ltd, she worked directly with multinational customers to bring products to market.

Her multifaceted skill set, extensive experience, and passion for sustainability make her an invaluable asset in helping Government organisations transition to sustainable fleets.
