Biography

Mahdi Jalili received a Ph.D. degree in computer and communications sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2008. He is currently a Professor of AI and Electrical Engineering at the School of Engineering, RMIT University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia. He was the Australian Research Council DECRA Fellowship and RMIT Vice-Chancellor Research Fellowship. He is the Founder and Director of RMIT Electric Vehicle Living Lab to develop EV-grid integration technologies in collaboration with partner industry members. His current research interests include complex systems, machine learning, AI and their applications in sustainable energy systems.
